Case Study, Highway Overpass Project, Ft. Lauderdale, FL
When a large overpass on I-95 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL was reconstructed, the contractor had to sandblast and paint the steel girders in the highway median. The Environmental Protection Agency threatened to shut down the entire job because of the potential hazards to the environment and passing motorists. Because the girders were too big to move into an enclosed shop, the contractor needed a solution - fast.
