Temporary Weather Protection for RES America – BP Wind Energy Project

Project Dimensions: 60′W x 32′H x 80′L

RES-Americas is one of the fastest growing renewable energy companies in the world.  They support BP Wind Energy in several locations throughout the US. BP’s wind project in Noxen, PA operates under severe winter weather conditions in mountainous terrain.  The challenge here was to design a shelter that could be installed on a variety of surfaces to provide secure temporary weather protection for the sensitive electronics components of the wind turbines while their installation was underway. Shelter Structures designed a ballast system that enabled the shelter to be securely anchored without the use of foundations or earth anchors. The ballast system shortens the time required for installation and supports rapid redeployment when the shelter is moved to additional wind farm locations.

Custom secure temporary weather protection solutions for difficult environments – that’s the Shelter Structures Advantage.
